Ben and Kelly’s partnership began in 2017 when she joined him as Assistant Director of ICHSA Champion Forte. Transitioning in 2022, Kelly assumed full-time leadership of Forte while Ben pursued new career avenues. With vocal music fueling their lifelong passion, they eagerly anticipate furthering their mission of aiding others through Harmony House.

Ben Spalding, a former choir director, is the visionary behind Forte, a group that boasts four-time runner-up status and clinched victory at the prestigious ICHSA Finals in 2016. His unwavering dedication to a cappella music is evident in his co-authorship alongside Deke Sharon and Brody McDonald of the book “A Cappella,” widely available including on amazon.com Ben’s influence extends beyond performance; he is a founding member of the A Cappella Education Association and maintains ties with various other a cappella organizations. Renowned as a sought-after clinician, Ben travels the country, conducting workshops for a cappella groups. Ben is spearheading the revival of the professional a cappella group Vocalight in 2024, further solidifying his impact on the a cappella landscape.

For the past 25 years, Kelly Korpusik has dedicated herself to music education. Her journey began with private voice and piano instruction, leading to teaching elementary general music, and culminating in her current role as the head choir director at Centerville High School. At Centerville, Kelly oversees four choral groups, including the nationally acclaimed a cappella ensemble, Forte. Her involvement with Forte has seen their impressive progression through ICHSA competitions, the recording of multiple albums, the creation of captivating music videos, and active participation in a variety of a cappella festivals.
Beyond her work in music education, Kelly possesses a passion for organization, event coordination, and fostering a love of music. It was this passion that sparked her interest in the conception of Harmony House, a project close to her heart. Through Harmony House, Kelly aspires to support singers worldwide in achieving their musical aspirations.
